Brief // Our client is an upcycled clothing brand founded by a group of young creatives with a mission to redefine sustainable fashion. The brand’s core values are rooted in passion, play, and positivity, with a focus on uplifting old clothing through natural dyes, reducing waste, and celebrating creativity. The client needed an engaging visual identity that could exist seamlessly across print, online, and physical spaces—one that would resonate with their primary audience of discovery-driven individuals aged 18–38. These are fashion-conscious, eco-aware individuals who value supporting local, independent businesses. The challenge was to create a bold, unique identity that felt authentic and culturally engaged—an identity that not only communicated the client's sustainability ethos but also inspired connection and excitement. The visual system needed to be adaptable, vibrant, and long-lasting, aligning with the brand’s dedication to reducing environmental impact while still feeling fresh and contemporary.

Approach // The final visual identity for Blossm is rooted in the concept of harmony with nature, expressed through circularity, organic forms, and vibrant colour. The roundness of the logo reflects Blossm’s unity with natural cycles, with its versatile form integrated into natural scenes—appearing as the sun or the centre of a flower in visual mock-ups. This approach not only reinforces the brand’s environmental values but also brings a playful and imaginative touch to the design language. A key feature of the identity is the timeless iconography set, inspired by natural elements like flowers, the solar system, and the sun. Designed for long-term use, these icons provide visual consistency while minimizing environmental impact through sustainable production processes. The color palette, drawn entirely from natural dyes such as cochineal, marigold, and logwood, strengthens this sustainable narrative. The vibrant hues are paired with a distressed, stamped texture that evokes a D-I-Y, handcrafted feel—underscoring the brand’s playful, positive ethos. This identity extends across mediums, from print materials to online spaces and physical brand experiences. The adaptable system ensures a consistent brand presence while allowing room for creative expression. In every element, the design reflects Blossm’s dedication to sustainability, individuality, and the beauty of nature—creating a visual experience that invites the audience to connect deeply with the brand’s purpose.
